Meet Brandi Aspinall, 5th generation Colorado native and so much more!

I have a few loves…  okay, I have many because I love life! My faith, my family, my animals and my Colorado are just a start. From a young girl to present day, I have a deep connection with the beauty of Colorado and the wonderful memories I have growing up here.

 

I grew up on a farm and had everything a child needed, love, support, animals and adventure. I was riding a horse by the age of five and traveling to different states watching my parents at rodeos, running up tabs at concession stands and enjoying sing along parties on the long road trips.

 

I won national tiles and multiple awards, experienced the heartbreak of losing at big championships and being betrayed by close

friends. From a champion to the death bed and back again, I have learned to appreciate the little things in life. I wake up every morning grateful that I am still breathing as the doctors said I most likely wouldn’t make it to my 18th birthday.

I have felt the glory of being the best and I have felt the darkness of seclusion when fighting to stay alive. I have joined in the rejoicing of child birth and the heartbreak of a miscarriage. I have sung on one of the biggest stages in America and fought to breath when ravaged by pneumonia. A few things I know for sure; sometimes the darkness can seem deep but the light will always shine bright when you summon the courage to strike a match. A small victory is just a powerful as a big one, and Lemon Lime Shasta is amazing when mixed with cranberry juice!
